How exactly would a hygrometer help control humidity?

The wipes sold on cigar are glycol blend. They are safe.

I love a good grilled cheese sammich.

Anyway, I was so obsessed with the accuracy of my hygrometers when I first started out that it was crazy. Kept salt testing them - more often than what was "normal" but one day read a comment and basically the person said "Put a bunch of Heartfelt beads in and be done with it." So I added more beads and haven't looked back. My cigars smoke fine, the wrappers look and feel right (...i.e., no cracking or mold...) and couldn't be happier not obsessing with how accurate my hygrometers are.

After an initial salt calibration, I check my hygroset digital hygrometers against each other.

If one in my small 7 drawer humidor reads 67°/67rh I'll swap it with one in my cooler that reads 65°/70rh then check them again the next day.

They usually read exactly what the other was reading, that's accurate enough for me.

Glycol belongs in antifreeze and fireball whiskey not in my cigars.

You know what I've found the cheapo humidors are good for? A Cheap source of wood for making other "dors".

Im stripping two this weekend to cut and line two 50 Cal cans I have sitting around the house.

30° with wind gusting to 40 mph. To me that's pretty rough cigar smoking conditions.


Once I found out that bovedas can be recharged then they became a no brainer especially when they can be had here for $2 each.
