Why not just buy the CD?

Mikey, Mikey, Mikey...although many albums have been digitized and released on disc, not *every* album has been that lucky. Two albums that I would love to get as an official release:

Dalton and Dubarri

Apple and Appleberry

And here's a very obscure group that you might like:

I'm that fabulous fan that introduced Dean to them.

Panama - what's the album you need converted? I have a friend that used to be able to do that.

That would not only play your LP's, but allow you to convert them to mP3, and its pretty dang cheap.

^^^ Oh gawd, now you got me looking at buying a turntable again! Wouldn't buy any of the mp3 converting ones but thinking about something in the $250-400 price range.... Haven't had a working tt in over 10 years but still have close to 1000 albums left.

I remember dad playing "Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons" on 8 track on that growing up. Then getting mad later when I would ruin his needles by trying to be Mix Master Mike from the beastie boys.

I will be no help on this conversion ? Just wanted to chime in with how glad I am that my turntable is still spinning and the needle still makes my LP's sound fantastic. I still have my entire record collection including 45's and my discwasher brush to remove dust from the records before dropping the needle.

I use 3 turntables and have 4 or 5 extra turntables i should probably get rid of. Got about 15,000 records. Whittled down from a peak of 93,000...they were taking up too much space. CD recording of original vinyl will never sample enough to match analog quality. Vinyl rules.

Agree! Got one of those too........Akai two speed 4 track. Even got a handful of studio recorded tapes. I also keep an 8 track and cassette deck so i can still play those but quality of sound bites on cassettes and is the worst for 8 track.
