A woman returns home after attending a late church service and is startled by an intruder.

She caught the man in the act of robbing her home of its valuables and yelled, "Stop!, Acts 2:38"

(Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven)

The burglar stopped in his tracks.

The women calmly called the police and explained what she had done.

As the officer cuffed the man to take him away he asked, why did you just stand there?

All the old lady did was yell a scripture to you.

Scripture?? She said she had an axe and two 38's

A women? The word is plural.

A woman. The women. I'm not quite sure why this irritates the sh*t out of me, but it damn sure ruined the joke.

My apologies, I was not directing my ire at chazbo, of course... just saying that I find simple grammar errors irritating.

Is it silly? Yeah, probably...

My punctuation was fine. Three dots... is called an ellipsis. It indicates a pause, an unfinished thought, or an omission.

Perhaps my irritation to such things is caused by reading inmate requests at work. The majority of them are dumber than a box of rocks, can't spell worth a sh*t, and use words in the wrong context.

Some of them are comical.

A small guy goes into an elevator, looks up and notices a huge dude standing next to him. The big dude looks down upon the small guy and says, “7 feet tall, 350 pounds, 20 inch ****, 3 pound left testicle, 3 pound right testicle, Turner Brown.” The small guy faints.

The big dude picks up the small guy and brings him to, slapping his face and shaking him and asks the small guy, “What’s wrong with you?”

The small guy says, “Excuse me, but what did you say?”

The big dude looks down and says, “7 feet tall, 350 pounds, 20 inch ****, 3 pound left testicle, 3 pound right testicle, Turner Brown.”

The small guy says, “Thank God! I thought you said ‘Turn around’.”

The teacher asked the class to use the word “fascinate” in a sentence.

Molly put up her hand and said, “My family went to my granddad's farm, and we all saw his pet sheep. It was fascinating."

The teacher said, “That was good, but I wanted you to use the word ‘fascinate,’ not 'fascinating'.”

Sally raised her hand. She said, “My family went to see Rock City and I was fascinated.”

The teacher said, “Well, that was good Sally, but I wanted you to use the word ‘fascinate’.”

Little Johnny raised his hand, but the teacher hesitated because she had been burned by Little Johnny before. She finally decided there was no way he could damage the word “fascinate,” so she called on him.

Johnny said, “My aunt Carolyn has a sweater with ten buttons, but her tits are so big she can only fasten eight!”

The teacher sat down and cried.
