Gave up cereal. Used to keep some Raisin Bran and Frosted Flakes in an air-tight canister in the pantry. After several months, there were some maggots and small moths in the container, so I tossed the cereal and tried storing another batch...same thing...there must be some live insect eggs in the cereal, because this doesn't happen with flour, nuts or oatmeal that is stored in identical containers.

Same thing happened to me years ago. Can't remember what kind it was but they were squirming around in there.

Gotta freeze 'em like your new box of stogies I guess.

Alternate between Crackling Oat Bran and Kashi hi protein. Wife calls the high protein stuff "twigs and sticks".

Too many of the cereals are loaded with sugar. Dr told me to avoid any cereal with more than 9 grams of sugar per serving. I used to think Raisin Bran was a good choice until I compared the sugar content - 20 grams. Enough sugar for the whole day.

I remember back when I was a kid we used to eat white rice with sugar and milk... I guess it's cause we were poor at the time but it was very good if I remember right.... 👍
