No. This one^^, it's 2 feet longer, more bang for the buck, put together right here in SoCal with Mercury or Honda engines/controls. The hull molds are made in China, but by a reputable Chinese company that makes hulls for other boat companies that have been around for years.

Thresher is a startup that opened for bidness in 2014. They were at the Fred Hall fishing shows the last couple years, and they seem to be doing quite well. We're going to go look and see what we think.

I'm excited and scared sh*tless at the same time.
Can't keep A Navy guy off of the water. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Looks like a nice open fisherman. Ive learned that i dont want a hull that has wood under the fiberglass. Hope they have quit doing that.

Maybe 8track can be your firstmate and you can buy him a red shirt and silly white hat and call him little buddy and stuff.

That feeling should tell you to take some more time to think about it and all the costs that will be involved.
That feeling should tell you to take some more time to think about it and all the costs that will be involved.
I have, quite a bit. My wife's car is paid for. 2012 with only 34k miles. My Tacoma will be paid for in 6 months, unless I just pay it off now, and it is a 2014 with 24k miles.

I'm going to sell our 2013 Hyundai and use the proceeds as a down payment for the boat. The boat has a 3 year stem to stern warranty, and the payments will be half what my truck payments were... plus my car insurance will drop due to insuring 2 cars, instead of 3. Insurance for the boat is $220 a YEAR and that covers every-damn-thing, including my fishing gear.

I'm contributing $15,600 to my investments every year, and will bump it up to $18,000 as soon as they move me back to my 12 hour shifts ($8,500 more a year). So it isn't like I'm neglecting retirement.

Maintenance is a bit pricey, but it is annual on the engine and controls. The one cost that has me a bit frustrated is storage. If I didn't have an HOA I'd park it in my driveway! I have a few options... and time to iron them out.

Trust me... I don't make financial decisions on a whim. I've been thinking about it for months.

Bust Out Another Thousand...

Happiest day of a boat owners life is the day he buys and the day he sells...

Yep... I know. 🤦
