Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter, Saturday on CBS. Who you got?
I've watched both of them fight, and they're both great fighters... if I had to place a bet I would bet on Thurman.

Current champ v. former champ.
I'll take Porter in an upset. TKO in 9

I have it set on DVR, have a family thing that night.
I'd put a 5-er on it, if anyone's game.

I'm dialed in... the main event is next. I got Thurman, but this fight has epic possibilities.

My thoughts, but Porter is a world class boxer. He's going to give him all he can handle.
Rd 2 was all Shawn Porter... as was the first, IMO.
3 and 4 were clearly Thurman's... buckled Porter's knees.

Porter was busier, though awkward... but Thurman landed as many shots and clearly landed the better shots.
IMO Thurman won by a couple points. We'll see what the judges say...
They agree. 115-113 across the board.

Great action packed fight, but only a few really hard punches landed, most by Thurman. Both fighters have superior defensive skills while boxing close to each other/inside, giving only small and moving targets to hit, but they also both have attacking face-to face styles, so that made it a very interesting match. Thurman's sharp counter-punching from unusual angles as Porter stalked and swung widely at him was the difference...

Was good to see a Prime Time boxing event on regular TV, not just cable. Kinda like the way things used to be. Picked the wrong guy, glad no-one took me up on the 5-er bet.
