i have smoked about a box of r&j en cedro. not fakes, i have been around too long. they were ok, but no better than a half dozen dr cigars. mi cubana, better, la finca same, any monte from the dr better, but hell i think the poderoza is an ok cigar, so what do i know?

Hey Rick, its no crime to like the poderoza. I bought some at a low bid and think they are a decent smoke.

We had some original Cubans living around the corner from us shortly before I left home...I remember their oldest giving my brother an I a cigar once and broke me from smoking cigars for almost 20 years...picked em back up about 4 years ago...I'm almost positive back then, it was my first Cuban cigar...(sigh)...had a connection and didn't even know it...I do remember them being so @#$%ing strong compared to the swisher sweets we were accustomed to smoking...I coughed so damn much I began puking as he and my older brother laughed their asses off...original Cubans..buy all you can...as for Original Cubans here...can't tell ya one way ta other...

Anyone?...I'm also curious if anyone has tried these yet?...I may just have to get a bundle and try them myself...Sheesh...LOL

Okay, I'll admit to it ......

I've tried the "Original Cubans" in Churchill form and I have to admit that they are pretty good for the price.

Don't expect them to be the "best" cigar that you've ever tried, and I wouldn't call them give-a-way dog rockets either.

How about "lawn mowing worthy?"

So I decided to try one of these in a corona size, more like a lonsdale but... Anyway, the draw was loose but not too loose, with lots of smoke and a nice aroma. It begins with pleasant flavor with a light cream taste and tons of strength. However it does turn harsh after about 2 inches. The burn was quite even which surprised me, no adjustment lights necessary, and the ash was gray to dark gray. I'm putting the rest of mine away for a 6 mo. nap and I'll report back later. chris
