Back in January of this year I semi retired from law enforcement. Though no longer full time, I've been a reserve in my hometown since leaving the agency I was working for. Up until about a month ago I was spending my time catching up on things I've neglected for the past 20 or so years at my home as well as helping my next door neighbor keep up her property. She's a widow who has 10 acres and 2 broke lawn mowers. Plus she had a couple of trees that needed taking down.

About a month ago I made some pickles for a friend as thanks for letting me use his tractor, trailer and chainsaw. I gave him a few jars and still had a dozen jars left after I set aside a few for myself. Those I gave away to neighbors and friends. Well, a few people said that were good and that I should sell them. So I made a few dozen more and took them to the local farmer's market. Within a few ours they were all sold.

Long story short I've decided to go into business for myself again. So much for being retired.....
