I'm a fair bit behind the times; I do all of my facial deforestation with a Gillette safety razor from the mid 1950s. The thing looks and acts brand new, the blades are dirt cheap, and I always get a nice shave.

I see commercials for FusionGlide or whatever the hell is out now, they drive me nuts. So overpriced and flimsy looking. More importantly, any razor with more than one blade tends to give me nasty burn, which is why I stopped trying the new ones about five years ago. Does anyone here get a decent shave with the newfangled things?

I grew up on safety razors and within the last few years I have tried my Uncles safety razor from 50-60's. Meh.

My son got me into Harry's, I like them lots and I have a pretty heavy beard.

Rinse the blades a lot to clear them and it works well, for me.

I use the Gillette Fusion five blade razor when I want a close shave that will last all day: best disposable I've used. The shaving head is disposable and pops off. The handle is pretty sturdy: shiny stainless steel metal with silicon rubber inserts for grip, and is 4-5 years old.

I use a Panasonic electric most other times.

Last time I tried my old razor with the Wilkinson Sword double sided single edge razor blades, I cut myself several times. It also pulls on my beard when I shave against the grain. I still have it in a drawer somewhere.

I used gillette five blades for a long time. I recently went on a lifetime warfarin diet. Now I cut easier and longer. So I pulled the trigger on a Braun 740s. It cuts at least as close as the blades, maybe closer.

I buy large bags of disposable twin razors at sam's club.....use them 4 or 5 times (not a heavy bearded guy) and replace them. i get about 200 good shaves per bag which costs about $9.89. use a 99 cent can of colgate shave cream every 4-5 months. YES, I am an old cheap guy🌫

Old school here - I use the Schick injector blade or a Gillette twin blade. I still have some of the old Safety razors that use the two sided blade. I also use an electric from time to time, but mostly when I'm on a trip.

My son just recently started using a safety razor and he likes it. I prefer the Schick Hydro disposables. The seem to last much longer than the Gillette fusion blades.
I do still use shaving soap and shaving brush. A single soap lasts about nine months. Much cheaper than the gels or foam and I think it gives a better shave.

Grabbed an inexpensive multiple razor package from Dollar Shave club. None of them as good as the Hydro.

I do like their Dr. Carver Shave Butter. Makes for a smooth shave.

Prior to January I shaved at least once a day with a Gillette 3 or 4 blade razor. Now I'm lucky if I shave 2x a week.

Mach 3 with Edge shave gel. I've got a safety razor, I've used it... and it cuts me up.

Mach 3 gives me the best shave. The Schick hydro has me intrigued though...
