Kipp, since you can't fill it with homebrew (and make no mistake about it, you would need to keep it moist to prevent leakage until filled) look at making an adirondack chair out of it.

While on tour of four roses, the lady said you can get the devil's cut out of the barrel by filling it with water (partially) and letting it sit out in the sun on the side, rotating periodically. If you really have nothing better to do with it I would at least try that.

Thanks! We are doing that now, but with Apple Juice. About 6 gallons.

It's a 53 gallon barrel.
