I always carry on cigars, check in cutter and lighter in my luggage tucked away with my toiletries (razor, etc.....)

Never had a problem other than the go-tar D TSA agent squashing a Trinidad Reyes after inspecting the contents of my 40 count travel humidor.

Lost a torch from here on my second most recent trip, so bought a bagful of cheapo Bic knock-offs. Guess a 2 inch torch flame is better at burning up an airplane than a 4 inch bic off the limiter.

TSA is security theater and a workfare program, nothing more.

I've been using TSA approved case for torch 'bout 4 years. Maybe 15-18 flights with no problem. Have to keep it in checked bag though.

Cutters in carry on never an issue either. Once had TSA inquire about bullet punch on key ring but when I told her what it was, all was good.

Mistakenly left a cork screw in my carry on once and you would have thought it was a concealed carry attempt.
