Why are there so few Americans who are Olympic medal caliber shooters? When/if Kim Rhodes finally retires, who's next?

Lack of sponsorship, they are afraid of the anti gun lobby.

dunno. gotta figure some of our better shooters are there but I admittedly know nothing about the sport so maybe there isn't the crossover you would think.
