Has anyone had to deal with back orders? How long do they normally take to be delivered?

I have and it was something that irritated me originally. It's just a process and inventory thing and how long it takes to resolve completely depends on when they get more. Call them on monday they will make things right for you.

Only once, and I just let it be. It was a good bit of time but it was eventually delivered.

You'll get your stuff or you'll get a refund. Don't worry about it.

Seems to be a nagging problem for me, call if you don't hear from them in a week or so.

This hasn't happened to me, but it would irritate me immensely. How can you put something up for auction if you don't have it in inventory? The better question is, WHY would you?

We all know they move a lot of stuff at cbid and the mothership.

Do they have the logistics of some of the big boys?

Of course not. They obviously don't do this on purpose.

Basically, someone behind a computer looks at a list, and it shows the product is in stock, say 15 units.

(No, they don't have time to verify that they really have 15 units.)

But in reality, there's only 4............ And this happens for a variety of reasons.

So then when they put up 10 units for auction, and all 10 are bid on and won...........well, someone is gonna have to wait a while.

Fortunately I'm not one of those folks who has to wait....

:-"

In my short time here, got backordered once, for some Ashton Aged Maduros. Contacted CS, they gave me the option to get a refund or wait for them. Since I got the 5er at a good price, decided to leave them on b/o. Waited 3, maybe 4 weeks but they shipped them out at no charge.

I agree with macs. ...if the whole order isn't in shouldn't you send what you have?

Back order is part of life. Not sure what the big deal is. Companies have items the regularly stock and sell. Usually they use a demand type inventory system and for the most part are able to manage just fine. All of a sudden a supplier is unable to ship what they normally ship so a supply shortage happens.

The bigger question is do that many people that buy cigars for here rely on prompt delivery to be able to smoke? At a minimum cigars should be stabilized at least a month and in reality much longer before smoking them.

I'm thinking the better solution is to stock up which allows one to smoke cigars that aren't *sick* and eliminate the weekly box dance at the mailbox.

I think the auction part with no reserve is what irritates people. Didn't get a high enough bid? Oopsie daisy product is back ordered.

They don't do that but it's a perception thing. It used to irritate me too. You don't put something up for bid that you don't have.

Now I don't really care lol.

This can be tough when you're just starting, but agreed.

Also, can we get a video of you doing the box dance?
