I think it proves the coach coaches what he has. If Brady played, no way he throws under 20 passes and runs naked bootlegs.

Steve Young replacing Montana was a seemless system transition, just add a better running QB. But the system has changed a number of times in the Brady years as he became better at throwing down field, then as he lost mobility, then opened up again as his knee healed...Belichick changed the system several times based on Brady's condition.
