Hey how's everybody doing?

New member here and wanted to do an intro. I've been smoking cigars for a few years now and have become somewhat more serious with them over the last 6 months. I'm finding as I get older that a glass or two of good bourbon or wine combined with a cigar is a nice way to relax as opposed to getting hammered on cheap beer.

Cigars that I'm in to are the CAO Flathead 660, San Cristobal Revalation, basic Padrons, and Kristoff Maduro. My everyday smoke (but more like twice a week) right now is the 5 Vegas Classic. I'm finding a lot of cigars in the $7 to $10 range that I like, but I'm having trouble finding cheaper cigars that I can smoke more frequently as going from one every couple of weeks to smoking 3 or so a week is getting more pricey. Right now the 5 Vegas is doing a decent job of that. One cigar that I've tried and want more of but I think it is new and not available many places is the Hoyo La Amistad (by AJ Fernendez) I got 2 in a sampler from a cigar event. I smoked one and would really like to find more.

Flavor profile would be more cocoa, coffee, earthy cigars and not so much spice (but not totally against spice). I've found cigars that I like from mild to full and like to keep things a bit diverse.

Any advice on preferred everyday-type smokes would be welcome and I plan to spend more time researching now that I've found the forum. I might try to bid occasionally as well.

The only mod in this forum is ZRX's mom so if you like to get an upgrade here I would suggest camping with him to speed up the process.


On a more serious note sounds like you would enjoy a lot of AJ Fernandez cigars so try the Man O War and Diesel labels which are generally good bang for the buck cigars. Always remember when bidding losing is a sign of weakness!

Grew up in Alexandria, but live near South Bend (live in Mishawaka).

I didn't attend Moose Manor Herf because I already had plans for that weekend. I'm going to try to make it next year.
