Had my 23rd a few days back, spent the night smoking cigars and watching The Departed with pals at the local shop.

I've been a bit reclusive the past few years, it was nice to actually be out of the house with friends for once. Might even do it again in a few years! 🇨🇮

Amidst the fun I got to thinking about the coming move, relocating to Minneapolis with my long-time girlfriend. I can complain all day about the cold, but the real issue is the fact that I can't bring my tools with me and I'll have to shut down the workshop for a year or two. Starting October 30th, there's no more Big Purple Barn.

I've been able to try and build whatever I wanted since I was sixteen. Gonna miss that.

I've got one tee shirt from 1992. It should be a rag, but instead it is a memoir from my first employer.

So I do have one older than him.

Moving to a cold, dark, state. If you marry the wrong woman, that cold, dark, state won't be called Minnesota.

My son wears a shirt older by far than both of them. Tank got it in 1985 while at Knox. Son wears it to honor his dad, even if dad is Army and he is Navy.

I wear a necklace with two coins from my grandfather's collection. One is from 1838 and the other is from 1823. Feels good to have that little connection, plus I usually have hold of the oldest thing in the room!
