Embarrassing story for you Frank.

Many years back I was attending a graveside funeral service. I noticed rocks all over the headstone/marker and thought, " this place is a dump. They need to hire a grounds keeper that actually cares about his job. This poor man has been covered by all these pebbles." So I took it upon myself to clean the headstone.

Fast forward several years. I finally watched the movie " Shindlers List". Awesome movie! So at the end, all these Jews are placing rocks on the guys grave.
I immediately started researching and learned the meaning. I felt horrible at what I had done.

A good hunting buddy of mine past away about 4 years ago. Anytime I'm at our land, I place a rock in my pocket. When I'm in the area of his grave, I stop by and place that rock on his headstone. Neither one of us are/were Jewish but I love the meaning.

Hope it's acceptable for a Baptist to practice this.

Happy New Year Frank! Shalom.

So what's better on this holiday: Mogen David or Manischewitz?

Neither.
we went with a Spanish Garnacha for the red and a Spanish Garnacha Blanca, obviously for the white.

Happy New Year Frank!

Challah or apple?

Burner02 wrote:

we had a challah (round of course) and not apples in honey...though my wife did make a great apple cake kind of thing for dessert.

So, both I guess.
