Same here save for special rounds like Aguila Colibri and Super Colibri, though I hear they've discontinued the super colibri. CCI Mini Mags I'll go 10-11c/rd because they're extremely consistent.

For regular bulk standard 22lr, I want the $20/500 back. Doubtfully will ever see that again.

Stopped at my local Cabelas a while back, they had a good bit of Federal 325's for about 20 IIRC. Bought my 2 box limit, dropped em off in my truck and went back, they were gone.

You are allowed to walk out to your truck, then go back and buy more?

If at a smaller store where they might recognize you, probably would need to change your hat.

But Cabelas, you get your ammo off the shelf, carry it to the checkout lines and they usually have several open. I've gone back to same cashier, different cashier, never been denied as long as I don't have more than 2 boxes.

King of the cove....

NOW ...IS HOW MY " RECENT" EXPERIENCES
CAN HELP YOU....

IN the Fall of 2012...after my "TIP-Report" to the FBI...
I HAD AN SSG ADVANCE TEAM ON MY AZZ for many months...after about 2-3 months I started noticing the SAME FREAKIN' morons...following me from thrift store to thrift store...all day long.
They would Leap Frog 1 store ahead with another different TEAM. They would change clothes, change coats, change hats, change hairdos, change glasses,
Change shoes...you get the idea...

Just go out to your truck-car and change your appearance with different cothes, hats, etc
And go to a different cashier...
It should work.

It didn't work for the SSG ADVANCE TEAM THOUGH,
I TOOK THEIR PICTURES WITH a pen camera of at least 27 different agents and dozens of vehicle license plates.
Then I dropped off the PICTURES " to a HIGHER POWER"
and now they are all COMPRIMISED AND SCARED
SH#TLESS.
Following the above 27 morons for the last 4 years
Has lead to a plethora of leads and information...
All ready and documented for the upcoming
"COINTELPRO II CONGRESSIONAL HEARINGS"
scheduled for 2017 .
My favorite ADVANCE TEAM AGENT
WAS " The Cafeteria Line Lady"... She gave us a gold mine of information.

Well I got super lucky today!!
Got 1,000+ rounds today, from a store that shall remain nameless, at just over .06 cents a round.
Winchester HPs and Federal plinkers.......mostly Winchesters (the boxes of 235).
Truth be told, I was going to grab more, but didn't want to be one of "those" guys..............but I thought about it.

Eh, I don't care anymore. Stock wiped out minutes after hitting the floor every single time. If I see it, I'm buying it and as much as I can get. Go to a gun show, I'm convinced that's where most ends up, not in the hands of shooters but resellers. Last couple shows I've been to have had guys with tables and nothing but 22.

If it's for you, you're not one of those guys.
