http://reason.com/blog/2016/10/20/umass-amherst-debuts-threat-level-meter

For anyone who hasn't accepted the fact that colleges are a liberal indoctrination, and that this next generation will be ill prepared to cope without a support group and social media "likes".

From the article:

The University of Massachusetts at Amherst—the very same university that recently told students to stop making Harambe jokes—has created a threat assessment meter for culturally-appropriative Halloween costumes.

The "Simple Costume Racism Evaluation and Assessment Meter (or "SCREAM," because campus censors are nothing if not horribly obvious) is designed to help students decide if their costumes might offend someone, according to Campus Reform.

For instance, if a student is dressing up as a member of their own race, the threat is "low," and "probably won't offend." But dressing up as a member of a different race, particularly one whose members "are more socially marginalized than you" could produce a "high" or even "severe" threat of giving offense.

So, if I understand this correctly, if I dress as a blatantly flamboyant gay queen, it's offensive.
But if Victor dresses the same way.......it's not??

Thanks Obama.

OTOH, there are some folks wearing Killary costumes, they and anyone seeing them might need a little therapy, I'm just saying.

they don't.

but your supposition gets complicated...
to be legitimately offensive, would they have to dress up as Al Jolson in blackface, or just Al Jolson?

I ask cuz no one would know who they were trying to look like if white Al Jolson (Jewish I think) and so not offended.

But if in blackface, they'd be offended but without really knowing the true reason why, which would be not just a shame, but possibly an incorrect reaction...so many layers to the onion, even without the Jew component, which I am only too happy to toss into anything tailgater starts!

I gave myself a headache.

Disregard above post.

the below post is this...as a known libtard, even I am unable to explain these UMass type things...proving there is no litmus test to be a libtard.

one should be proud to honor the great Louis Armstrong. His legacy should not be modified by skin color.

Go forth and be Louis Armstrong. Be proud to honor the greatest influence on American music, it's time everyone knew the truth!.

Thank you Frank. I agree with everything you said. Your words have an immeasurable influence on my Halloween costume. I will soon be singing, "what a wonderful world."

So if I dress as Obama, I might get accused.
But if in my defense, I claim I am being his white half, then the threat level is lower, right?

YOU HIT THE NAIL...

DIRECTLY ON THE HEAD....

IT WAS AN "ONION" suppositional
QUANDRICAL MULTI-layered statement.

I knew He was Jewish.
I knew He dressed up in blackface.
I knew just about the Whole country recognized him out of blackface when he was in public.

It was a trick statement for smart people to ponder...

Which is EXACTLY WHAT SHOULD BE DISCUSSED AT AMHERST.

You f#ckin' Y.O.G.I. mofo' :):):)
