5 years ago today, at the ripe age of 30, my wife and I went and had dinner at a steakhouse... her parents came and my parents came...

after dinner my dad (ordained minister) pulled some paperwork out of an envelope... he asked us some questions (I honestly don't remember what he said), we signed the papers, and just like that, married...

the money that would've been spent on an awkward ceremony that I would've dreaded every second of went instead towards buying our house...

it's been an awesome 5 years and as much as I never thought I'd get married and have kids I sure am glad I did...
