just saw the movie, gonna start by saying it is long and has a slow pace, so stay away if that is a killer for you.

But if seeing tremendous performances on the big screen is worth your time, see this film.

Casey Affleck had to play his character in the manner he did, and he and Michelle Williams were in a scene together toward the end that actually brought tears to my eyes.

I may be somewhat swayed by the local connection (I replaced the dashes in my op that they removed from the title), but this is a very strong movie with excellent casting. The kid was great too.

It's gawt wicked awesome fishing boats... I'ma hafta see it.

I'd say it gets a 98.2% accuracy rating on the local dialect/accents.

I was gonna add that I am proud to say it hit me where I live, and I reacted as if I knew these people in real life...in my mind more of a tribute to their talents than my questionable sexual orientation.
