Got my heart ripped outta me last night by a gal I've been talking with off and on for quite some time now.

Yeah there are other fish in the see but damn she was a whopper. I just wish there woulda been someone to help me reel her in.

I know it's small chit in the end but I'm seeing red this morning.

Merry Christmas guys

Keep fishing, no artificial lures, nothing but live bait.

Merry Christmas!

Sorry to hear, especially around the Holidays.

But if you needed someone to help you reel her in, maybe she wasn't for you. You should be able to reel in that special someone without anyone's help . Or by waving a C-note (j/k)

Merry Christmas.

Best thing that ever happened to me is my divorce 20-25 years ago although at the time it felt like the worst and it nearly killed me. I now have been married about 15-16 years to an awesome woman, more than I deserve and have an incredible family. Periodically I think back to my ex and think what a crappy life I would have if we had stayed married. I mean I would be miserable,

I'm sorry for your loss and can totally relate to how you must feel. But there is hope and you will likely be surprised,

Merry Christmas and may the gift of time be your most treasured surprise.

Hah, well I have to admit I am Prince charming; although, I have put on a ton of weight over the past couple years. She's a decent gal just needs to be a little more humble like she used to be. Probably twice as smart as I am and way better looking than all those ladies jackconrad posts up. I can't say she's ever made me miserable except for a couple times besides yesterday. Just stubborn as a donkey. Thanks for the vote of confidence guys. 32 is starting to look real lonely.

seem to recall you mentioning on another thread that work had kept you apart from her for a couple of weeks...perhaps she needed more from you?
In any event, I am sorry to hear of your pain. Time will heal, as you know.

Eh, don't base your self on others.

Incompatible and split is a million times better than incompatible and stuck. Trust me. Even if it's one dissatisfied party, it won't be bliss.

You're not gonna like me............too bad.
Suck it up.
Cut back on the booze.
Focus on yourself.
Get your azz in shape.
Get involved in some kind of activity/club that you like that is NOT in any way related to work, or your current social circle..........in other words......get out of your "box".

Not only have I been where you are now (but worse), I have seen it PLENTY in friends and family over the last 50+ years.

If you do the above during 2017, amazing things will happen.............this I know for certain.

You are going to be okay. For a relationship to last, it needs to be the top priority of both parties involved. If it is not properly balanced it will eventually topple in pieces. She may have been good but not great. You deserve great. Don't settle. It causes problems in the long run.

I praying and cheering for you. Time to bounce.

I agree with Teedubya and kingofthecove.

I got a surprise few get from my ex wife, then years later when I gathered some trust back fell in love. She made me happier than I'd ever been.....and blind. Got my heart destroyed again. Stopped worrying and focused on me and my daughter.

THEN I was shown what I actually wanted.

Get out of your box and stay healthy, schit will come around fosho

So you put on a ton of weight while she stayed hot? And she left?

Women are a mystery.

Better she goes now vs leaving with half your stuff.

Good advice..

Just curious, was it platonic, friends, dated,
Girlfriend, or what?
Did you have physical relations or just talked.

Sounds like it was not a date or girlfriend?

ANYHOW read #9 and do it....

Sucks to hear that, especially this time of year. Dig ou your best cigar, best alcohol and out on your favorite music. A nice relaxing time like that would make anyone feel better.
