Some of my bids prevailed also, but I got outbid on the others ... I remember once when ALL of my bids were successful, though ... that was an ugly day since I'd counted on losing some of them ... MrsS struggled to lift the box off the porch when it arrived and went on a big-time tirade about how I didn't NEED that many cigars ... which is probably true irrespective of the number I bid on, but that's another story ... anyhow, the experience DID cause me to utilize a bit more cautious bidding strategy ...

That happened to me too...then DPNewell said I was doing it all wrong. You have to bid only $1-3 dollars, or some really low amount, on cigars you want...RIP DP...

By the time I got here, the textbook for the DP Newell School of Bidding was already in it's 5th edition. I was lucky enough to snag a used copy and in it was the chapter on best dates, times and max amounts to bid dependent on the phases of the moon. I've steadfastly stuck to those tenets of wisdom.

And yes, RIP Professor DPN.
