a shot from the back porch - 6 yrs of the mrs' efforts - she started with all grass, except for a pine stand, 2 maples and a blue atlas cedar.

the pond is 4 yrs old now - this is about 1/3 of the yard. for all you guys that need a view while smoking...

btw, this takes about 2 weeks of mulching and cleaning up in the spring, and about a week in the fall. i feel silly riding around on my toro mowing what little grass we have left...420913.jpg

That's a really nice garden. I used to love eating breakfast while looking over my friend's pond.

Are the birds real or are they decoration?

the herons are cheap bronze castings. for the most part, they work well at keeping the real herons away, and from eating our koi - most herons won't bust another's fishing territory - or so i'm told.

i may have to get on the roof and take a shot of the whole yard - my bride has done a spectacular job...

go on the roof and give us the full view.

what i see is a beautiful professionally planed garden that must have cost a fortune to have designed and executed.

it is gorgeous.

will attempt a roof shot asap. thanks for your kind comments. it truly is our oasis.

surprisingly i think i've spent more on c bid than we have in the garden 🙂

she is a master gardener here in the county, and alot of what you see was swapped or given to us. she deserves the credit - i'm merely the mule...

the pond is a kit (i became a distributor for the kits just to get a good price), the stone walk is prob the most spendy item back there.

shouldn't you have become a distributor for the stone walks also.
