I am working on my step daughters computer.

It had 18 viruses and many many browser hijacks on it.

She had no anti-virus program or firewall installed.

The one virus I could not catch wiped out the computer.

It now is not booting up and has many system errors.

What I need is a recovery disk for an Aptiva E3U model 2153 E3U. I have searched and they are obsolete.

Does anyone on here know of where you can get these obsolete recovery disk? She still has all of the factory installed hardware and I cannot get some of the drivers for these.

TIA,

Mrs. Usahog

Yo MrsHog:

http://www.restoredisks.com/contactus.asp  ....You might have to shoot them an e-mail as your computer is not listed. Hope this helps.

Forget the recovery disks ...

The only way to make sure you are completely virus free is to reformat and partition the hard drive ... and do a clean install of the operating system.

I used an old Win98 boot diak to format and partition mine ... and then just put in the OS CD ... and rebooted the computer.

Make sure that your system is set to boot from the CD Drive, and Windows will tqake it from there.

You can get any drivers you need at Drivers Guide:

... or Drivers Planet ...
