Lions QB Matthew Stafford to become highest-paid NFL player

Simple answer: no.

Absolutely not!!! For starters these athletes in all of sports are well overpaid (I know that it is what the market dictates but the market should not dictate this much money for sports). It's a shame when people that contribute to the betterment of society earn a fraction of what these athletes earn and struggle to stay affloat. Also, he is not even close to the top talent in his own profession or skill set. So in the ultimate team sport he is chewing a large portion of cap space which leads to deficiency elsewhere on the team. This is one thing Brady has always understood and why they are constantly super bowl contenders. These large contracts that crush the cap space should be looked at as selfish non team players accepting them.

I hate salary caps. The only thing I hate as much is minimum salaries. But the owners are the richest group of scared socialists ever assembled in one room.
