Yeah, gas prices in MA has jumped about $0.20 per gallon this past couple days.

I tried to get my oil heat tank filled for the winter before the price hike.... called earlier this week for a Thurs delivery. They were supposed to fill it today but too many delivery requests for them to hit my tank... hopefully they get it filled tomorrow and honor the $2.00 per gallon that they had when I placed the order.

Don't need heat right now, just wanted to get in under the wire before they hiked up the price.

Friend of mine in TX says San Antoino has no gas.

Some capacity may be damaged, but refineries don't like getting **** down for any reason and there will be problems and leaks getting them restarted. It takes a few days to get a refinery running at 100% after a shutdown, especially an unplanned and hurried shutdown. The hurricane also affected the operation crews that are needed to get them operating again.

It should ease up in a couple of week. According to my family in Texas there are some lines at the gas stations from panic buying. With talk about another storm in the Atlantic, thank you national new chicken little, people want to know they have enough gas to GTFO if another storm blows in.

Guess I should be glad my trucks in the body shop for at least another week and I'm driving a rental that gets 3x the mileage.

Gas went from 1.97 to 2.40 from literally morning to afternoon here in houston yesterday with some places charging as high as 2.60

I feel for you all. I remember once it went a good bit over 5 a gallon some years back. Fights breaking out at the pumps, people beating the **** out of each other, people stealing gas from others cars and trucks. This is one good thing about not able to drive no more but now won't be long before you start to see rise in cost of food, wood, and every thing else.

I think Costco was 2.49 two weeks ago... the only time I really notice gas prices anymore is when it gets over $4 or under $2...

A lot of the cost of gas is from Taxes. If there were no tax in texas gas would have only been about $1.30

Just checked the station in Foley that is normally the cheapest and in less than two weeks they have gone from 206.9 to 248.9.

I know a lot of that is Harvey but I'm guessing there is a little in there for Labor Day also.

Little store at the end of my road is charging 3.49 gal... Blatant price gouging... Sadly I'm not surprised.. 😟
