So the NFL is investigating.

Really?

So it's OK to call someone a mutha fuqar, Meaning they fornicate with their biological mothers.
That's OK.
And you can tell them they eat sh*t. Meaning they pick up human feces, put it in their mouths, chew, swallow, digest and then repeat the process.
That's fine.
Maybe you'll suggest they are incestuous nymphomaniacs. Or that they do it with the dead. Or maybe they enjoy prison sex from multiple inmates at the same time.
Perhaps the person has a low IQ. It's OK to call him stupid. Or dumb fuq.
And if they're ugly? The floodgates are open with nothing to stop you.

But if someone drops a racially motivated slur?

The NFL investigates.
People get fired.
Death threats are made.
Lives are ruined.

I don't advocate using racial slurs.
I'm not saying it should be OK.
But why is the N word such a big deal? Worse than saying you have sex with your mom.
Why will a mulit billion dollar league "investigate"?
A league with drug users and wife beaters being paid millions.

Of course when a player responds poorly to taunts, now all they have to do is claim they heard the N word.

I'm getting more than a little sick and tired of all the peripheral BS surrounding the NFL ... time was, I enjoyed watching football and found it entertaining ... increasingly, that's no longer the case ... the TV folks have reduced the incidence of streakers and other publicity seeking idiots by deliberately not showing them on camera ... seems like maybe a lot of the current bullsh** surrounding the games could be similarly reduced by not televising it ...

I have a BIL that refs college games. He says the black players let the N word fly all the time on the field, without exception to school or division. I kinda doubt the NFL is any different.

if pryor is telling the truth i agree it is uncalled for but at times it seems like the pot calling the kettle black

i have seen multiple videos and sound bytes of players calling each other that on the field and even some players directing similar comments at referrees

espn doesnt usually play those videos too often

if i can find some clips ill post them but they usually get brushed under the rug pretty quickly

I don't hear whites referred to as German-Americans or Swedish Americans (or any ethnicity) unless there's a festival or special event going on. I also think it's kind of ironic in that a German or Swede may be hard to differentiate. I rarely have any issues identifying someone as African American.

African American is a generalization. Many blacks do not know their heritage.
