I have an opportunity based out of Dallas that I'm considering.

Because of having to keep two households while this plays out, which could be a year or more, I need to find somewhere affordable to live in the area.

So I'm asking my Texas brothers for some advice----a dangerous thing I know, where to live?

I used to live in Plano so that's my level of comfort in regards to surroundings, I'll be living there alone so I want to be located somewhere near, cigar lounge, indoor shooting range, driving distance to outdoor range.

I'm a bit over 60 so my needs are simple, if I need adult entertainment over the weekends I would hope that's near anywhere!

So what town would you guys suggest today?

Highway systems are pretty nice these days.. how much of a commute time do you want... I heard Watonga was the new hot-spot but I think it's closer to Ft Worth...
I haven't lived there myself tho in years.. I just drive down to smoke with Brewha every now and then... 🇨🇮

Thats a good questions D, Chicago got me away for 15 years now, I will be on the road again only this time driving the entire TOLA (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas) area.

So........highway access more important than airports now. I spent 20 years in Plano so I know North Dallas well...just need clean, reasonable prices and amenities near by!

If you haven't visited in 15 yrs, you're going to be shocked.
Plano runs into Allen runs into Mckinney runs into Frisco now. All looks the same with plenty of amenities. And traffic.
We've been in Allen 22 yrs and it has improved nicely. But we get to enjoy hwy 75. Grrrr.
West Plano and Frisco is nice. Tollroad is a plus. Sometimes.

Bullet Trap is still in Plano, Frisco has a new indoor range that's really nice. 30 min gets us to Garland outdoor range.

Yell when you get here, plenty of lounges to visit.
