We haven't had cable / satellite for several years, but have had this Firestick for a while.
But recently it started ( on it's own ) sliding from network tv channels to Netflix. Using the remote I simply use channel up button and it posts a ( leaving anynet mssg ) and goes back to network channels.
But five....ten...mebbe two minutes later...it slips back to Netflix AGAIN!!!!

Anyone else have this experience? 🌫

I only use my Fire Stick for Kodi but I find that if I clear the cache often it runs a lot smoother. Not sure if there even is that option for Netflix on it but if so it might help.

I've heard of neighbors with Dish or Direct being on the same frequency and changing channels before... 😟

Update:

Later this same day..actually as I was retiring for the night. I turn tv off and head to bed..as I lay there and try to slip off to sleep, I hear the audio sound the tv makes when it fires up!!! ( It turned itself on ) I got up walked back out there and AGAIN shut it off....only to hear / see it turn on again...by itself. I finally said F it and went to bed. The next morning my bride comes downstairs to find the tv playing....shuts it off....only to have it turn itself back on ( after she left for work ) I finally turned entire surge protector that everything is plugged into and it stopped!!!!

It sounds like you may also have a problem with your TV if it's turning on and off. I would recommend that you unplug everything (i.e. power, connected devices & their power., etc...) and leave them disconnected for 10 minutes and then hook it all back up and see what happens. One other question; do you have a programmable remote that you just push one button and it turns everything on and away you go. If so then I'd stop using it and try the original remotes and see if it helps with your problems. Also do you have multiple TV's and/or firesticks? Best of luck. Electronics can be the devil sometimes. 🌫

Thanks Julian....no I just shut-off the surge protector but your right I should probably unplug everything and allow it to sit for a few and reset itself. The remote we use is the one that came with our Samsung ( but we are able to also control the Fire-Stick with it also.
