Making brined and parmesan crusted pork chops, and collard greens for dinner. Started on it yesterday.

Wife's mad I been in the kitchen for hours, and that I'm not "making anything good"

I dunno why I try.

Ewok, I told her she could eat the food I made or get her own. She bitches about me making a mess too, but I never leave a dish unwashed when I cook.

She had cereal tonight.

Pork chops turned out fantastic. Collards were perfect seasoning, but didn't have enough leaf against the meats. Grocery store only had 3 bunches on the shelf, I would normally use 5.

Sounds like it is past time to trade in for a new model.

Years ago my wife pulled this. I worked 3rd shift 16 hours on the night before valentines day. That morning after work I went shopping for her a gift. It took me quite a few hours to find the perfect gift. I found a huge balloon that had a large stuffed bear inside it holding a 14k gold necklace and pendant in it. Damn thing costed me over 300 bucks.

After getting home I walked into a pissed off woman. She was fussing because I was late getting home. I apologized for not calling to let her know but didn't want to give away the fact I was shopping for her a gift. After she calmed down I went to the truck and brought in her gift.

When I brought it in and gave it to her she looked at it then chewed me out for spending the money and she also said "Why this I needed a damn broom." I had no clue the one she owned was broken.

After about 2 minutes of listening to this chit I got up, got the balloon and started walking towards the door. She asked where are you going. I said "Taking this dang thing back to the store and getting my damn money back" She came running out the the yard grabbed the balloon and told me "Thank You" I told her then I will never let you forget this lesson until the day I die.

Since then every year for Christmas, She gets a wooden broom from me and nothing else. She has 19 brooms now so I never have to worry about looking for one throughout the house or garage.

Granted, I do make up for it on her Birthday, Anniversaries, and just plane old because I can times but I will never tell her that is why she gets great gifts during those times. On Christmas she knows a broom is coming with a note that reads. Every Witch needs more than one, Love Santa.

EDIT: You know, now that I think about it and it got me to laughing, Throughout all these years we have moved all over the US from East to West Coast and everywhere in between. She makes it a point to take every single broom with us not ever leaving one behind. She learned well.

Good day to make a pot of chili and that would be without beans.

Chili turned out pretty damn good. Next time around, think I will do a pot roast in the crock pot and add the pot roast to the chili. Should be outstanding.

You a chili with beans or no beans?

I don't like ground beef in anything but hamburgers.

Made chili last week, shredded a chicken I smoked and put that in the pot with the stuff.

Without beans there's not much left to go on.

Spose if it's a meat smoothie there's some substance there. But that would block up a colon mighty quick. At least the beans keep things rolling. Maybe if there's enough peppers n onions the meat lump won't back up the works.

The national chili cook-off thing is no beans allowed... My wife entered one year... Weird thing happened tho, hers was a favorite but the local judges thought it would look bad if they chose a local to win.. it was a regional thing.. one of our friends was a judge and told us that afterwards.. 😟
