Today marks 6 years since my mom passed away unexpectedly. She was only 52 and passed due to a pulmonary embolism caused from foot surgery. She was an amazing, loving and beautiful woman.

Every year on February 8th, I urge my friends and family to give their mom and dad a call or go see them and tell them how much you love them and appreciate everything they have done for you. You never know when it will be your last time hearing/seeing them.

I would do anything to see my mother one more time and for her to see our 4 beautiful children. My oldest was only a few months old when she passed.

My Granny was taken by a PE, 2 years ago, but it was a bit of a blessing in disguise. The poor dear had been suffering from dementia for nearly 3 years, and couldn't recognize or remember half her grandchildren any more. We will miss her greatly, especially her sassy retorts, but even death is a part of life. And sorry to hear about your mom.

Mine passed in '09 and miss her every day.

There's a lot I still need to ask her about her recipes she didn't write own in her cook books.

Haven't spoken with my Mother in almost 25yrs.
Haven't spoken with my Father in almost 40yrs.

Haven't heard from Mom since she died...she used to call when she needed my help with something...

I'm assuming she's fine, back together with Dad and two of my brothers...

Lost my mom at the young age of 67 in Jan 95 to a massive heart attack. That was probably the first week in many years that I had not spoken to her at least once or twice during a week. It still haunts me till this day of the things that I felt were left unsaid.

If there is something that needs to be said,say it now or you may never get the chance.

And as I have stated more than once on this forum, "moms are very special."
