Man this brought back memories. I was born in 1970, my parents still did these things. I even remember when it came to things like say getting an Ice Cream cone or candy my father would tell us sure as long as we could pay for it. So what we did as kids was ride around the hood on our bikes, collect soda bottles that people threw out while driving, then ride our bikes to the store and trade them in for the candy or ice cream. Best days of my life back then. I remember one summer that was how I got the money to buy the Evil Knievel motorcycle toy that you would put the bike in the lil crank thing and reve it up and the little motorcycle would take off like a bat out of hell. So not only did we recycle, as kids we learned how to work and earn our money as well and it was fun to boot.
Good GOD! I just found out what that toy is going for now. Yep I am officially now feeling OLD.
