Don't get many where I am at. I wish we did.

I hang two feeders here in Naperthrill and I get lots of (relative to one small area of Chicagoland) spring and fall migrating hummers.

Last year I spotted them around in the summer but I had put the feeders away.

I use boiled sugar water that I change weekly, maybe I will leave them up all smmer.

I left mine up a little longer than it was time for them to migrate. That way any coming buy would have a place to load up on an energy shot \ sugar high for the trip. Err body has gots to have road beers!

Leave one up year round here in LA. Will have a total of three up by the end of the summer and will take 2 down after the first cool snap.

On the cat note, we have one that will turn 19 yo if she makes it to Jul. Lost one almost 2 years ago that was 16 yo when we put her down.

Just into Illinois on the Illinois Wisconsin border. I will try the feeder. Even spring and fall would be nice.

The little fuggers will return to the same feeders year after year.

Here in LA we get them going both ways. For the most part they don't hang out and breed here near the coast. 8 plus miles inland it is a different story.

Have had them at the house since mid-March this year. About a week or two later than usual. Have two feeders out. About six fight for a spot on the feeders. Not very active yet but once summer arrives they will empty the feeder in a week

see a bunch buzzing around the neighborhood when I'm out for a walk....beautiful little birds...

Also see blackbirds chasing after much bigger hawks and falcons...those are aggressive birds...

No he isn't. I've seen enough of MACS posts to know that, like me, he loves his stupid cats as much as I love my stupid PITA cats.
