Steveman

that was to be my question. i lived in tinton falls and graduated from red bank high in 1950.

Good morning all and thanks for the welcome.

Damn Rick you really are just around the corner, I work on the fort (That would be Ft Monmouth for all of you that don’t live in the neighborhood).

Bud, don’t usually make it that far south and when I do I’m heading for AC or Cape May

OK so with all these Jersey boys in the forum, how often do ya’ll get together?

How is the class XI shop on the Fort? I've been meaning to check it out one day.

Regarding getting together - anything is possible and the more the merrier.

I mean class VI (six).

Note to self: Refresh oneself with Roman numerals for all those times you use them...

Sorry Red, I'm a contractor, so I don't know. But I'll look into it for you.

I know everything on the post is small, we have only about 600 GI's on post anymore.

the post is made up mostly of GSs and Contractors.

Don't go out of your way.

I'm always looking for a bargain, hence I found my way to CBID (my plug for the day). A Class VI is the post liquor store. I regularly visit the one at Ft Dix and the only bad thing I have to say about it is the distance between my home and the store.

I've been meaning to check out Ft Monmouth since it is closer.

I knew what you were looking for...... I just haven't been in the store. I'm sure Dix has a bigger everything then we do here. What about Earl? Earl should be closer, your ID is good there too, and they do have an Exchange. Or at least they did. I'm sure it too is smaller then Dix too but for main stream stuff it should be fine.

I never even thought of Earl. I may have to check that out as well. Thanks.
