Well let's get this over with Gurkha or Graycliff cigars are
over-marketed, over-priced (MSRP wise) and thus over-hyped cigars. They also have the distinction of being considered in very low regard by many cigar smokers...
🐴
PS This type of thread has shown up periodically over the last number of years as have various wordings of the above statement..
No horses were hurt in the process of writing this text. The author also acknowledges that new over-hyped cigars are out there and require their due.

Hate to say it but the new Tat Broadleaf Collection is nothing like what you would expect considering the rep with that wrapper. Found them to be bland and airy. Also, never had a monster I could say I really enjoyed.

I'm going with any Davidoff..doesn't matter.

NEVER had one that lived up to even the price tag.

Maybe 5 - 6 years ago, I picked up 2 Fuente God of Fires from here for like $18 ea. as a treat for Father's Day. Meh. I usually enjoy Fuente, but these where as boring as could be. I can't remember if they where the Don Carlos or Arturo blend.

My vote: Padilla 1932 PEPIN ROLLED
:)

For an Altadis, Monte White doesn't suck too much...bland, but we'll made and consistent

Howard, I won a box of them several years ago at Dubbin's herf. You remember, the herf where we first met? The herf where you kept winning one humidor after another?

Anyhow, I found them to be nothing special, and traded them away (I think to Fiddler). A few weeks ago I got curious about them, and grabbed 2 Rothchilds here at $3 ea. Again, nothing special, so we agree on these, but someone must like them, as many are willing to pay big bucks for them.

I haven't smoked any because Connie aren't my thing really but a couple people I know love theseeing White Labels. Even turned down my offer of a cc in favor of a white label. I am also not a fan of Altadis cigars so they have two strikes against them for me not to try.

Tony, which one? There's a decent range of My Father cigars, with varying profiles and quality levels.
