When i opend the humidor i found small insects , is it the cigars beetles, what to do to avoid the cigars damaging, now i put them all with the boxes in freezer

Hello friend! When i was a lad i had an ant farm... seems similar to your little humidor insect project so I'll offer the best advice i can based on my experiences...

as cigars are an important part of a cigar beetles natural habitat, it's vital you not remove any from the insect humidor... also, don't mix the red ones with the black ones or you'll start a war... and reward good behavior with an eye dropper of kool-aid...

Lastly, letters and numbers are a terrible combination for a forum handle and the guys around here are gonna hate it... take my advice, introduce yourself as insect boy...

Shave the effected area, and wash with tea tree oil shampoo, or add a few drop of tea tree oil to some shampoo.

Should clear up in a few days.

Yes, definitely freeze the humidor for at least 3 days and then it goes in the fridge for a couple of days to start the thawing process. Send the bugs to Drafter- he eats anything.

I heard it gets harder when you freeze it. ..8-[

That's counter intuitive. Most peoples shrivel up when you freeze them and get harder the more you warm them up...

I read alot of articles about freezing the cigars to kill the beetles???

And just to be perfectly clear, leave the cigars in the humidor. You might wanna leave it in the freezer for 4 days to account for the thickness of the box. Additionally, if your humidor is small enough, put it in a plastic bag.

I put all of the humidors in plastic bags and sealed ,
I have special freezer like aroom with tep adjustments and keep them with -18c after that please can you advice me to what tep. Shoul i make it.
Im planning to go for -7c 5c 16c each day
