Just saw this today:
"David Blanco named President/CEO of Blanco Cigar Company effective September 1st, 2018.
David, his father Cesar and Uncle Francisco founded Los Blancos Cigar Company in 1998.
Francisco, a 20 year disabled Vietnam Veteran, left the company as a result of his health early on, leaving Father and son to continue the family legacy and heritage.
Cesar, also a 27 year combat veteran, has been the President/CEO since the beginning, handling administrative business affairs behind the scenes.
David, a 29 year combat veteran and still active Army Reservist has served as Executive Vice President since the founding of the company. In this role his responsibilities included blending of cigars, product development and design, marketing, advertising and sales.
During the past 20 years in business the family and company have endured the loss of their factory, as a result of Francisco's health. Two wars, as David and Cesar served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. The collapse of the economy in 2008. The introduction of SCHIP, the result of which caused a huge Federal Excise Tax increase. A corporate move from Chicago to Clearwater, FL and most recently the intrusion of the FDA. All of this while continually growing the brand steadily and deliberately.
Today, Blanco Cigar Company, as it has come to be known, is an international company and cigar brand with distribution throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. This year, new markets in the Middle East and South America are opening as well. Beyond the brands owned by Blanco Cigars, the company is responsible for cigar blends and importing/exporting for 12 different companies, domestic and internationally.
Blanco Cigars is a company that has continued to grow and have success throughout the adversity and challenges it has faced during the past two decades.
