Wife wants to make chili tomorrow so I'm making the chicken today.

Grocery store had boneless skinless on sale for a buck a pound so I bought a bunch. Put seasonings and olive oil in a 2g Ziploc bag, smashed the meat around for a while and let it sit for a few hours.

4 breasts in the electric smoker with mesquite

4 breasts on charcoal in the grill.

My Galaxy S7 downloaded and updated two 'Samsung Aps' Saturday morning. The fn phone has since rebooted itself no less than 100 times....constantly for about a 90 minute period last night --- while I was on my way to airport to pick up the wife -- not sure how we managed without cell phones in the way back

I've safe-booted; factory reset; cleared data cache; cleared system cache....unless Samsung fixes the firmware (assuming its broke), this phone is about useless

My wife just reminded me that her phone has been giving her (different) grief lately - battery/charging 'issues'....COINCIDENTALLY, both phones were just paid off in the last six weeks or so....do I sound a little too 'Jonesy' if I found myself wondering if Samsung and/or Verizon have some culpability, if not nefarious activity, here?

Did you add the cost of the phone as a monthly bill increase? Cuz as much as I love a good cell phone company conspiracy, I think the average smart phone only lasts around 21 months... And that's the average...

yeah....but...I gotta think a couple of fogies like us are curve busters --- I mean...I've seen what youngins do to phones and aside from an occasional rain storm while fishing, we ought to be WAY on the right side of that lifespan scale

But, they do reportedly slow their processing when the battery is nearing the end of its service life, which could very well be my case. Wife's 2.5 years old and mine's 3 years old. Neither have (easily) replaceable batteries. Even when I had the older phones with replaceable batteries, once they slowed down they stayed slowed down even with a new OEM battery.

Seems kind of insane that $1K consumer product has a lifespan of less than 2 yrs....nuts......If you include service cost, phones life cycle cost/year are probably more expensive than cars

Meh... Probably.
But they get cooler every year... So we want new ones anyway.

It'll probably follow the computer cycle.

There was a time when computers were obsolescing much faster, because the new OS or new games put too much demand on a computer even a couple years old. And back then we didn't care much about lifespan of a computer because we would need a new one soon anyway.

Now... A computer can be viable for years. And now they seem to last a bit longer as well....

The wife and I just got a new galaxy 9 and it acts crazy as hell had a galaxy 5 that was paid for but they we really slow and starting to do stupid **** but that phone was probably 4 years old
