I’ve been spending some time digging through the humi and decided to tackle the Fuente shelf. I would like to try and put a value on some of my collection. I know value is extremely speculative but any insight, opinion or information would be greatly appreciated. At some point I need to pare the collection down, smoke a whole lot more or start divvying them between the kids.

How were the boxes stored and what humidity where they stored at?

I have a climate controlled storage system. Humidity 66-69%, 65 degrees year round.

As you noted, pricing aged cigars is speculative. When I seek to thin out my inventory my goal is to not try and screw fellow b/sotl. I look at current prices and then discount 10-15% adding on shipping cost. Yeah, I sell at a loss which is why I don't own a smoke shop. I see it as a win-win in that cigars I won't get around to smoking are enjoyed by someone else and I get a few bucks and additional space in my humidors.

Not saying that it's wrong to make a few bucks or to cover your cost. Just not my approach..

I can't help you out,because I wouldn't know the values of some of those.....but it seems like a good problem to have...nice list

I'm thinking it depends on what you paid. Many retailers do not sell the HTF Fuentes at msrp but mark them up as much as 10-20% or allocate them. IE: the 858 and Hemi rosado and SG. Very few sold for a discount as Fuente frowned on the practice and policed it with it's retailers.

In 2003-10 IIRC Fuente shipped most boxes with a humipac and many caused mold if left unopened. Those boxes that are unopened should be inspected if they have not been. I always opened older boxes and removed the humipacs when received.
