I have a stinky ashtray that I use. I got a Joya De Nicaragua ashtray at an event last month. My mom gave me 2 antique ashtray stands. They were her Grandma's. Someone has repainted those many years ago so I am restoring them. I'll post some pictures when they're done

I have so many ashtrays I lost count. Favorites though are:

(1) the Stinky floor-standing ones with handle on top and an integrated table for drinks/cutters/lighters/etc. Nice shiny stainless. Got four of them, and also have four stainless tabletop Stinky ashtrays too.

(2) the glass Rocky Patel ones, circular with four cutouts and a pattern of cool glass ridges all over the entire underside and outer sides of the entire thing. I have an orange one, a green one and a blue one, all are gorgeous. These were for sale years ago, and disappeared since. I can't even find a good clear photo of them on the Internet anymore. CI Hamburg had them in the upstairs lounge on the tables when they first opened in all three colors (orange, green, blue), though, if that rings a bell for you.

(3) My 1950s-era Murano-made cigar ashtray that's pretty trippy. Clear glass, inside that green glass, and with a regularly-spaced pattern of air bubbles (it's a trick in the glassworking art, there's a term for it, "controlled bubbles" or something like that). Bowl is surrounded by twisty/turny "arms", sort of, some of which form cigar rests. You'd have to see it, it's hard to describe in words.

(4) Various ceramic logo'd/painted ashtrays by different manfacturers. Over a dozen. The nicest one is probably the Romeo y Julieta three-finger white one, nice intricate design, both the art and the shape of the thing itself; the fingers are in an interesting and uncommon arrangement.

4 stinky ashtrays
1 Liga Ashtray
1 floor stand ashtray I made with cigar boxes for the stand and the top holds a thick heavy crystal ashtray.
1 ashtray I turned on my wood lathe made of bass wood and a 2 inch glass cabochon in the center to knock ash that has an image in the glass of my own design.

For everyday use, a small Stinky with a 2nd one that’s still brand new...somewhere. Both were gifted years ago by Youngra / Rick after I (...stupidly...) posted that I used an aluminum pie plate for an ashtray. Also have a Ramon Bueso wooden ashtray and a Harvey special that I bust out when friends come over to smoke.

Still in boxes are Tatuaje as well as My Father ashtrays.

Hopefully that’s all.

Not collecting and I have more than I will ever use. So much so that when I go to CigarFest I take some along and give them away.

I miss Harvey. He was a good guy that eagerly participated without any expectations and bombed more guys in his short time than anyone else I can think of.

Actually what I really miss is not having a chance to return fire after he sent me a box with an ashtray and jewelry. I was waiting to do it “legally” but when he announced that he was moving I held off until he relocated but then he dropped out of sight shortly thereafter.

I was just thinking about Hmhaines while emptying an ashtray he made for a trade we did while he was here. Heavy piece of steel...unique and one of a kind...he left before I could send him a picture of the ashtray with a cigar in it, sitting on a table next to the pool...hope he is doing well....
