Saw clips of the video on three different news reports. Couldn't make out much. Saw some apparent shoving. Not civil but it wasn't clear to me that I need to get as outraged as the reporters all said I should be. I didn't see any limp bodies being dragged away

I think the shoving was pretty bad dsteiger, two people went flying across the hallway and the girl looked to catch her face on the corner of an entrance. He also kicked her when she was laying there, although it was not a full strength kick from the looks of the video it was intentional.

Supposedly Hunt lied to the Chiefs when he was questioned about this a few months ago or who knows what the outcome would have been. I side with the Chiefs here, but a part of me thinks they should have done more investigating instead of taking Hunt's word for what happened. There is no doubt someone will pick Hunt up again and will probably be several teams wanting him but at some point the NFL needs to say no more second chances, go find a 9-5 and see how you like being treated as normal person.

Wait a minute.it was Hunt that got fired? I thought she losther job. This is insane.

Watch and listen to social media. Has America not taught you people anything? Heed the 21st century rules. I don't have it all down yet myself, but I think I have the hierarchy down- at least the basics. In ascending or (least to most most awful).

-Jaywalking
-Shouting
-Pushing
-Shoving
-Slapping
-Punching
-Stabbing (non lethal)
-Shooting (non lethal)
-Rape
-Murder
-Not showing enough outrage for any time anything ever happens that adversely affects "women & children".
-Failing to admit guilt for being a white, straight, male.
-Mass slaughter
-War crimes
-Using the N Word.

When will she be relegated to a leper colony, crucified, and ritualistically tortured?

If I'm wrong, please coach me up. I just want to learn the rules of the game.

Ok...so just watched the whole video on full screen. The news clips were all heavily edited. I see a pizzed guy, somewhat out of control. While being 'corralled', he pushes the guys holding him back and knocks a woman down....twice. I didn't see an assault that gets me too outraged. The 'kick' was bad, but not something that would hurt or even leave a bruise. Not excusing his actions in any shape manner or form.....but not nightly-news-worthy, imo...nor worth getting kicked off the team...at least not until it became a PR nightmare...warranted or not. Curious that Fox News is leading the outrage parade......I'm certain that has nothing to do with Trump's war on the NFL

This is pretty black and white to me. I was raised that you don't raise a hand to a woman (let alone a 19 year old girl) unless you are fighting for your life. Period. The Chiefs are sending a very strong message here by releasing one of their best players in what could be a Superbowl season. Good on them. This kid should be taken out back and stomped.

I've witnessed young male college athletes physically and verbally abusing young women. Most only got slaps on the wrists while some of the girls stayed in abusive relationships or left school. The bigger the star, the lighter the slap. Never charged with a crime or prosecuted. It seemed as if athletes believed that was normal.

That was around OJ's time...

I am glad that we are evolving away from that "norm"
