Dan, you've got yourself a ninja raccoon. May need teenage mutant turtles to combat

My money's on it being a cat. Or maybe chupacabra.

Did catch a tuft of fur on a piece of the fencing that looks like cat fur, not coarse enough to be raccoon. Plus raccoons are clumsy and this is being done by something that eludes the laws of physics.

Bought the wife a 2016 Honda Civic.

Base model, but other than the wheels (hubcaps - seriously who does this anymore?) we like it. Can pull these off and mount winter tires, and buy a new set of wheels for the rest of the year.

Certified bumper to bumper warranty for 12 months, powertrain for 100k.

Had to argue price a bit. Initially they came back with a total that was $1k over the price of the car, and that was after 2k on trade and 2k down. I said if this is where you're starting, I'm walking. They came back with out the door price at the list price of the car. Again, nope, strike two. Said I'm putting 4k down with the trade and cash, but you're still getting the listing price of the car. Came back 1500 under the listing price out the door. Thought that was a bit more fair so I bought. Then had to spend an hour refusing their add on services and protection plans and stuff. Even when we got to the signing part, the price was back up from what we agreed on and I had to start being a jerk to get the thing done. Same thing with a different Honda dealership when we bought the Subaru in 2010.

This just a Honda dealer thing? Didn't have to deal with any of this when I bought my used truck. When I got the truck, the price on the lot plus sales tax was what I paid and the sales guy asked if I was interested in any protection package or extended warranty to which a verbal "no" was sufficient. The Honda dealer had me sign a form for every thing they offered and I declined.

Spent about 5 hours in hyper mode yesterday, getting the backyard summerized...

It's about 65 out, 70 in the backyard... Sporadic cool breeze to take the edge off the sunshine... I'm lounging with an ladc ee and some mandatory Marley... Probably pick a lemon at some point and squeeze a glass of lemonade....

This is as relaxed as I've been since the last deep sea herf...

So... my boat has a few cracks in the fiberglass on the transom where the engine mounts, and a few along the seams of the deck. Brought it to the manufacturer, who is extremely good about fixing any issues and he's taking care of everything for me. He's going to put in an aluminum brace where the engine mounts so it doesn't happen again.

While he's at it... I'm having a new, black, powder-coated T-top put on to replace the flimsy aluminum one that came on it. He's selling me the T-top at his cost, and a small fee to remove the old one and mount the new. $1,000.

Probably dragged your tripod across the deck a few times.

But it's likely because my first boat cover filled with rain water (back in January of 17 we had a lot of rain) and lined the damn thing like a swimming pool. It wasn't meant to hold that much weight... and over time the weakened fiberglass just cracked. It isn't serious and he's fixing it.

Your logic is flawed. Dark beer is anytime beer, excepting those times when you plan to drink copious amounts

Blasphemy ! Dark beer IS beer. Might just as well sacrifice a virgin to end winter.
