Indeed... towing season is upon us.

Outboard gonna get some deep service. Oil, filter, gear oil, water pump, fuel filters (I guess it has 2), spark plugs... etc. Not quite like the 30k service on your car. Think twice as much. 🤦

I need to watch some more youtube videos... and maybe invest in some outboard maintenance classes or something.

Oil changes are a snap. Separating the lower drive from the motor seems pretty simple, and swapping out the impeller looks straight forward... putting it all back together looks tricky. Stuff has to line up... other stuff has to be aligned properly...

Hey, an outboard is not a steam turbine. 😰

Good morning. Weather here will be 86F today. But , the snow storm up north will probably kill my plans to fly to Detroit for the weekend. 😞

Speaking of oil changes purchased a life time oil change contract with local tires & services store for 2004 GMC Envoy on 5/24/2004 for changing oil, tire rotation & check air in tires for $380.00 , have been using it for 15 years now, I believe I have gotten my $$$$$$ worth from it. Went a few weeks ago and of course another new store manager, " had to see this agreement to believe it". He was shocked they haven't tried to stop contract. Store has changed ownership a few times since purchase as well. 🙄

Welcome to Thursday folks, enjoy the day.
