Just had one of the Perdamo Bourbon Barrel Sun Growns picked up from the Tenskie place. It was a very good smoke. Not as strong or as intense as the Camacho, but far more complex and flavorful than any other Perdamo I have had. Lots of lovely great smelling smoke, perfect burn, great draw burned a good long time. Nutty, a bit of spice at times, some natural sweetness, coffee and cocoa pop up in the 2nd half. Unlike the Camacho, there are times where I could recognize true bourbon-ish flavors, although it was often more like a port wine than strong bourbon. At under $3.90 a cigar as a single with shipping, it was well worth it and I recommend people check it out.
That being said, if had to choose only one, I still prefer the Camacho American overall. It is stronger, darker, denser with more powerful complex flavors (interestingly though, with the Camacho American, at no point do I ever think: "There's the bourbon flavor!"). However, if I was wanting a lighter smoke, or something I did not want overpowering my food or beverage, than the Perdamo would be the choice.
