Gotta group some so I don't make this 800 posts long. Going to be tough with the 32767 character limit (was that always a thing? And why that number? Too many lawyers around here?).
#29 Nice to meet you as well. I've read a few of your posts. While some may take this the wrong way, I mean it as a compliment...you belong here. Also, I think "Tropic Thunder" is one of the most underrated movies ever. I flippin' love that movie.
#30 It would be nice to have been able to work longer and actually plan retirement. I got a hard shove to the sidelines. That being said, if I can get well enough, I'm hoping to get back into the game some day (knock on wood). I'm only 55 and haven't been able to work for a few years, but I've kept current on the law, kept my license active out of what some say is irrational hope, etc. Never thought I'd miss such a stressful occupation so much. If it doesn't work out, I'll find things to do around here. Live in a lovely, rural setting and Seattle is a boat ride and a 25 or so mile drive away. Always lots to do in Seattle. And if you're in the neighborhood, there's a very nice golf course where I live (I think par is 64, so it's not as fancy as that sounds...but still pretty cool). I'll have a cold one and a cigar waiting for you on hole #6.
#31 Very kind of you. Not surprising...I recall you as being a pretty caring soul, and I'll take all the help I can get.
#32. I'm slowly improving, so maybe things are looking up. Felt optimistic enough today to buy a Powerball ticket. *If* I am on a roll, going to see how far I can ride it. CROS...that's a name, right? I recall a poster by that name. If it's an acronym, it's not registering.
#33 My favorite Florida lawyer. Good to see you're still around.
#34 Good to see you, too. Will do my best to drop by from time to time. I missed you folks.
#35 Wow, that's rough, man. Hope you get the effects to reverse. I am loathe to take any antibiotics now. I already had allergies to a couple. Too bad they don't list ALL of the ingredients on store-bought meat. Don't recall what antibiotic she took, but years ago, I had to drag my wife to the ER (she was actually trying to get to work) after she developed what turned out to be a c. diff. infection. Doctor had her on some antibiotic for one thing or another, and the ER docs said that made her susceptible to c. diff. She rarely gets sick, but man, that was some foul stuff she had to battle. I rarely take them for anything, and when I do, it has to be something really severe. I just didn't stop to think I might have been consuming them for most of a decade without knowing it. I cannot prove it, but my wife and I both spaced the other night, and I got sick after dinner. Those baked beans? Yeah, they had an animal protein in them. Need to re-tool my diet for about the millionth time. Thanks for the heads up on your sitch. Never would have thought of such side effects. I'm sure going to be vigilant about them now.
And with that, Mrs. Pacman defied the odds, got on the first ferry over during a busy day, and got home a bit earlier. Time to go make dinner. Very nice to hear from all of you.
