In another thread a while back, I mentioned my beloved Cusano 3 sleeve cigar case that up and walked away from me several years ago.
I find myself on occasion needing/wanting a cigar case to put in my jacket pocket for an outing.
Not wanting to spend $50 for something I really don't use often, I searched, bid on, and won these:

First up...
Wassergass 3-Finger Leather Holder - Black.............my winning bid was $6
https://www.cigarsinternational.com/shop/?q=Wassergass+3-Finger+Leather+Case

Leather? There may BE some leather bits in it, but it's not leather. I've let this thing air out for over 2 weeks, and it still smells horrible. It's glued together with some toxic chit, complete with faux stitching. It will never see a cigar of mine.
On the upside, it holds nine 12-gauge shotgun shells nicely.

Next Up...
Diesel Leather 2-Finger Cigar Case.............my winning bid was $7.30 (Free Fall)
https://www.cigarsinternational.com/shop/?q=Diesel+Leather+2-Finger+Case

The Mothership description...
"This lovely 2-finger case is handcrafted in Nicaragua. Made with soft, full-grain leather and branded with the Diesel logo, this telescoping case can safely accommodate up to a 56-ring."

This is a low grade case, but is actually stitched together reasonably well. But alas, not real leather either. It too MAY have some leather particles in it somewhere, probably more than in the Wassergass even. Still, it doesn't pass the water test, or the sniff test, even after a few months of airing out.
It will never see any of my cigars, and alas, only holds four 12-gauge shotgun shells.

If you're looking for a bargain cigar case, don't bother with either of these.

Many, many years ago Gurkha had a club-like promotion asking for smokers to sign up and give up personal info like address and email etc. A few weeks later, I got a 3 finger leather case in the mail. Aside from the 'Gurkha' engraving, it was easily the finest small case I have owned. Smooth, soft leather, with plastic reinforced tubes inside.
Sadly, I lost it in a casino a few years ago. I've had a number of others over the years, but they all suck. I use baggies or hard cases exclusively now.

I picked up a leather Ashton 3 finger case here eons ago for about $20-25.High quality leather, sewn together well and has served me on many a trip.I also have a gifted Peterson 3 finger case just as nice that also has performed well. That being said I also received a 3 finger faux leather cheapie with an order several years ago.The noxious odor never went away and I finally tossed it.Buy a quality case once...….It's well worth it.

Xikar CigarLocker. Holds 10 toros in gasketed compartment, 3 lighters or cutters held in place with nonslip foam, and a side accessory compartment for anything and everything else. Lifetime warranty, free replacements forever if anything breaks. Love it!

Much bigger than one of those 1-3 finger leather cases though, no doubt. But I don't mind the size, because it's pretty awesome.

CigarBid used to have, and maybe still do have (i haven't checked lately), a Freefall auction for a Xikar Ashton-branded CigarLocker and Xikar Ashton-branded XO cutter (the cool donut-shaped one) for a price that dropped down to $31, which is utterly insanely cheap for those two forever-warrantied Xikar items together.

Oh man, that deal sounds awfully tempting but after recently getting a VX2, I think I can (...must...) resist the temptation to augment my cutter collection. 😳

But you’re right, XO is cool.... :-"

I have a 4 pack case and a 2 or 3 finger case. Maybe used them once or twice.Prefer the hard cases that hold 5-40 cigars.

I've always been a big fan of the pelican style travel cases. Function over form.
They're cheep, indestructible and water proof. 🌫

I just did a little looking around and it seems all the cheaper 2 or 3 finger pocket cases smell like a chemical factory that doesn't go away. Not sure how they get away with claiming they are leather. I think this is one of those items where it's worth spending the extra money if you intend to use it often. Wonder if there are any hobbyist leather workers out there on one of the cigar forums that can make something without going crazy on price.

I had a good three finger case that walked off somewhere. Couldn't say who made it or where I got it to save my life, just got lucky. Two fingers aren't enough. You have to have that extra slot because there is always someone at a party or picnic or whatever, that you barely know, who show's up in a puff of smoke to mention how they just LOVE a good cigar themselves every once in a while but darn it they just happened to forget to bring one.... Me "Oh? What do you like to smoke? Any favorites?" Them "Oh umm you know, anything that's good. I don't really pay attention to the brand..." Me sighing internally " Would you like one?" as I reach for slot number 3 the "Mooch Slot". Of course not everyone is like that. I've happily shared good smokes with strangers who turned a so so event into a good time. But, you can spot "that guy" a mile off. He's welcome to a JdN Antano in slot 3 but slot 1 and 2 are for premium smokes. It's fun to watch them occasionally turn green as they swear up and down that this is the best cigar they've ever had! It's the little things that make life worth living;-p

I also looked at some of the smaller travel humidor's. A bit too big for a pocket but hold 5 or so smokes plus a lighter/cutter. There are some really cool ones out there that look amazing. All leather, cedar lined, humidification included, A few even have little fold out ashtray's and cigar stands! If you want something to leave in the car or hotel room these things look great! I don't really need one but some of them are so cool I almost bought about 5 different ones!

Yep, just checked and they still have it. Xikar CigarLocker and XO cutter. I just watched it drop down to $33.15 before resetting:

https://www.cigarbid.com/a/xikar-ashton-cigar-locker-and-xo-cutter-combo/3260907/

When I first found this awhile back, I bought two and told all my cigar pals who almost all bought at least one each. What an absolute steal with the forever warranty!

Love mine. I got a block of foam cut to fit the side accessory compartment, then I cut holes in it to hold different accessories snugly. So I can put 3 cutters or lighters in the main tray's 3 non-slip foam positions, then quite a bit more stuff in custom foam slots in the side compartment. Currently the tray has a Verano flat flame, Allume double jet and Trezo triple jet, while the side compartment has foam holes that carry a Tech single jet, an EX soft flame, an Xi3 cutter, 7mm, 9mm and 11mm punches, a PerfecDraw tool (for opening up plugged cigars) and a bottle of cigar glue. All-in one total solution, baby!

I forgot my silver and gold metal tube. I use it often when going away from home with a single protected cigar.

I've got a 5ct and a 10ct Herf a Dor, a 5ct gordo Gurkha case. Like keeping them separate rather than a single 20ct. I can grab one for a day hike or overnighter, and open each case as needed, leaving the others undisturbed.
I also have 2 stainless steel cigar tubes that I take on hikes, mountain biking or motorcycle rides. I can fit a Churchill or double corona and puff it on short breaks, and plop it back in the tube without waiting for it to extinguish.
Covers all the bases...

Eh..........I've got plenty of ways to carry 5, 10, 20, 40 cigars.......my favorite being my leather Ashton travel humi which carries 25 - 30 cigars....cedar lined, etc.
I just want a nice 3 or 4 finger leather sleeve that will fit in an inside jacket pocket.
May have to listen to Whistle and go somewhat spendy........................and then it will walk away again.

got a couple of leather 2 finger cases with CigarsofHabano stamped on them...think Cigar Terminal was sending them out as a X-mas promotion several years ago...rarely use them because they feel too bulky/heavy...don't find too many occasions when I only need two cigars...
