Both typically take me about the same time to smoke as a robusto, you get more flavor of the wrapper (often, but not always, the best part of a cigar) and you open your options considerably. I would be loathe to write off coronas, as well. I have smoked some fantastic coronas. You might also find that you find it easier to handle a particularly strong cigar better in a corona.
