My company sent me from Buffalo, NY to Gila Bend, AZ in December. So all my clothes were long sleeved, pants, leaning to flannel and wool as the Midwest was freaking cold. It was 5 degrees when I left Buffalo, it was 105 when I got to AZ.

On arrival at the customer's site, I walked 25 feet to the office door successfully without heat stroke, but it was close. In that 25 feet I was soaked in sweat, I got in the office and asked the receptionist "How in the hell do you people live in this heat?"
She said, "Well, it's a dry heat."
I replied, not inside my clothes it's not!"
I was a major attraction at the restaurant where I ate that night. Everyone wanted to see the idiot in the wool longsleeve Woolrich plaid shirt. 🤦

This summer has been what I consider the perfect PNW summer. mid 70's to low 80's on occasion. A bit of rain maybe 4-5 days a month. Really, actually pretty well in line with the norms. Google typical Seattle weather temps and precip for the summer, and that's pretty much what we've had around here.

Love that marine environment. We've had some hotter summers in recent years, but we rarely drop below 25 at worst in the winter, maybe a handful of days in the mid to upper 80's in the summer. Move on up here. There's a reason that less than 20% of people have a/c in their homes around here. I've seen it hit 100 only twice in my nearly 56 years in Seattle, so my sympathies.
