The “Here today, gone tomorrow” nOObs syndrome is nothing new and after awhile you’ll get used to it. The worst is when they “score big” on a PIB or vet trade and then disappear.

One thing I've always thought about cigars, and why I've never bought less than two of a kind is they are about friends. Cigars are meant to be shared with buddies, and enjoyed with same. Preferably over a beverage of choice.

My local B & M carries some boutique brands that I want to try 1 or 2 before I splurge on a box. I use them for samples or if I have a special occasion and want to indulge in an expensive single

My local B&M has a BYOB policy, 3 televisions, a great chessboard, a beautiful card table that seats 8, a pool table, and a bunch of great people to talk with and enjoy some cigar time with. The prices, while a bit higher than cbid, are not outrageous. I can get a DE UC Shade for $8 or so, and then spend the next few hours shooting pool and watching a Patriot's game with like minded people while drinking the beer I brought with me that is kept cold in their Fridge, using their electricity. Oh yeah, if you just want some quiet time, you can pull a book or magazine from the well stocked library, and sit in an overstuffed leather recliner, and read all day if you choose.

That's why I spend a little more for the cigars at my local, and then I get to enjoy myself there all day for the price of a cigar. Small price to pay, and worth every penny to me....=d>

I appreciate brick and mortar. Most are small business owners and good guys. Wish I had one close to me. I'd gladly spend ten bucks on a decent stick and hang out.

I live in the Caribbean and cigars here are pretty pricey, for instance a Hoyo de Monterrey costs about a hundred dollars. Without this site I couldn't afford to smoke. Thanks to this site, however, I can afford a 2 maybe 3 cigar a week habit. Thank god for the US for both mass producing great mid tier, affordable cigars and the wonderful communities like this one, of which I can be a part and where I too can share my experiences with them as a member, even though miles and oceans may separate us.

You guys and your reviews of good sticks help me really understand and appreciate cigars. As you might imagine, on an island of approx. 2 million people fellow smokers, especially female smokers like myself, aren't plentiful, but that scarcely matters for you folks help me keep my passion alive, strong and enduring.

Thank you everyone and please appreciate what you have here, since in my opinion the camaraderie, the very ethos you all share is to me so priceless it cannot be measured in gold or other treasure.

These prices seem great to me. As a 25 year truck stop cigar smoker it's like I found the gold at end of the rainbow! I didn't know I could get a relatively good stick for $2 a pop.
